2008 Scholarship Winners

2008 marks the 19th year Poka Lambro has awarded scholarships to area high school students. Investing in our youth is something Poka Lambro takes great pride in.

The six students selected this year all have very impressive academic records. In addition to maintaining excellent grades, they have all been very involved in extra-curricular activities at their schools and within their communities. Between the six of them, they participate in practically every event you could think of — National Honor Society, Student Council, FFA, Sports, Academic UIL Competitions, Church activities, and the list goes on and on. We are pleased to introduce this years Poka Lambro Scholarship recipients:

Trevor is the son of Michael & Carol White. He is a senior at New Home High School. After graduation Trevor plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Agricultural Economics.

Carson is the son of Mindi Drennan. He attends Dawson ISD. After graduation Carson plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Animal Science.

Jessica is the daughter of Frank & Jenni McLelland. She attends Tahoka High School. After graduation Jessica plans to attend West Texas A&M and study Communication Disorders.

M’Laci is the daughter of Janee’ Coleman. She attends Klondike High School. After graduation M’Laci plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Elementary Education.

Jordan is the daughter of Todd & Roxanne Gregory. She attends Klondike High School. After graduation Jordan plans to attend Texas Tech University and study Agricultural Communications and Photography.

Kyle is the son of Paula Bell. He attends Dawson ISD. After graduation Kyle plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in Business.
